Delhi Municipal Corporation fines Godrej Vestamark 5 lakh for environmental infraction
According to PTI, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) fined a Godrej Properties subsidiary 5 lakh for failing to adhere to environmental safety regulations while building was underway in New Delhi.
Godrej Properties stated in a statement on Saturday that its company, Godrej Vestamark LLP, received this fine on October 16 in accordance with the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act 1957.
The subsidiary violated the National Green Tribunal (NGT) ruling of April 10, 2015 and the Ministry of Environment and Forests Guidelines dated 2010 regarding safety precautions during the development of their New Delhi project.
A well-known developer, Godrej Properties has a large presence in the metropolitan areas of Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
