Despite the fact that the ODI World Cup 2023 is still in its early stages, batters have dominated the competition, scoring a huge amount of runs in the 20 matches that have been played thus far.


The top 5 run scorers of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 are as follows: 


1) Mohammed Rizwan: The middle-order batsman for Pakistan has been in outstanding form throughout the ICC ODI World Cup this year, hitting a century and a half-century in the four matches that have been played. Rizwan has amassed 294 runs at an average of 98, a strike rate of 96.39, and a best score of 131* against Sri Lanka, making him the current tournament leader in runs scored.




2) Rohit Sharma: The Indian captain has been in outstanding form, continuing the trend he started at the 2019 World Cup by dismantling the opposing bowling attacks early in the innings. Rohit has scored 265 runs in his four matches with an average of 66.25 and a strike rate of 137.30, placing him second in the competition in terms of runs scored.


3) Virat Kohli: Cometh the hour, cometh the man, carrying on his tradition of excelling on the big stage, the former India captain has assisted his side in escaping difficult circumstances throughout this World Cup, including leading the team to win from a score of 2-3 in the first match.


With 259 runs in his 4 matches at an average of 129.50 and a strike rate of 90.24, Kohli is third in the competition in terms of run scoring.


4) Devon Conway: With a 152-run knock against the defending champions England, left-handed Kiwi opener Devon Conway had an outstanding start to the ICC World Cup 2023. Conway, however, has since been mired in a string of 30–40 run innings, unable to turn these starts into significant innings.


In his 4 games, the left-hander averaged 83 runs and had a 104.62 strike rate for 239 runs.


5) Quinton de Kock: Quinton de Kock has been outstanding in this World Cup, dominating bowling assaults from the start and helping his side advance to the top four. He gives all openers a fight for their money.


In his first four games, De Kock has scored 233 runs at an average of 51.25 and a strike rate of 108.88.
