Samsung will lose market share to Apple in the coming years for smartphones: Kuo

The era of Samsung dominating the phone market may be coming to an end.

According to a recent forecast from a well-known Apple expert, Apple will overtake Samsung as the leading smartphone brand in the world in 2023.

Apple is anticipated to ship between 220-225 million iPhone units in 2023, while Samsung's shipments have been restricted to 220 million units owing to the worldwide chip shortage, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a track record of making accurate predictions about Apple products.

Additionally, according to Kuo, Apple will continue to dominate the market in 2024, with a goal of shipping 250 million iPhones, while Samsung's perspective will remain cautious.

As the firm gears up to introduce the iPhone 15 series on September 12, Apple's anticipated supremacy in the smartphone industry is revealed. Major advancements are anticipated to be made in every area of the iPhone 15 Pro, including a better camera system, much bigger batteries, and titanium bodies. Kuo cautioned, however, that the shipments of the iPhone 15 would have some delays because of supply chain problems, particularly for the iPhone 15 Pro Max model, which is thought to be the most affected.

Despite these difficulties, Kuo expressed hope that Apple stock will rise in the near future since the market is unduly pessimistic about the sales of the iPhone 15.

Additionally, he mentioned that mass shipments of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will begin this week, allaying some of the worries.

Given that Samsung has held the top spot in the smartphone market for over a decade, Apple's climb to the top is an impressive accomplishment. As the iPhone 15 announcement draws near, Apple investors and fans are eagerly expecting what the company has in store for them.
