The Z13-ACRNM's 13.4-inch screen has touch input, QHD+ resolution (2560x1600p), and a 165Hz refresh rate. The shiny panel, however, readily draws smudges and fingerprints. It's a fantastic device for both creating and consuming content thanks to features like Pantone certification and Dolby Vision HDR.

The IPS display had a smooth feel and was sufficiently bright for use outside, and it gets much better when HDR video is streamed on websites like YouTube and Prime Video. It even replaced my Xiaomi Pad 5 as my main OTT and video streaming gadget because of how vivid and high contrast the display looked, almost as good as an OLED screen.

This laptop's two speakers are Dolby Atmos compatible. It is not, however, the loudest or most crystal-clear speaker configuration I have seen on a tablet. Even inexpensive tablets, like the Lenovo Tab P12, seem to provide superior audio. But unlike other contemporary tablets, it does contain a 3.5mm headphone connection, and it is also approved for high-resolution audio output.

A detachable keyboard folio that extends the ACRNM design aesthetic is included with the tablet. The text on the keyboard is so incredibly unclear that even after using this machine for more than two weeks, I still don't feel at home. This is when things start to become a little overwhelming.

You might not enjoy this keyboard if you are a writer first and a gamer second. I, for one, had to pair my wireless Logitech keyboard to finish my job, and even when I was gaming, the extra keyboard flex interfered with my enjoyment.

The tablet sports a front-facing 5 MP camera with an IR sensor and a 13 MP primary camera for Microsoft Hello face unlock. One of the few tablets that enables front-facing 2K video recording at up to 4K resolution and the back camera at up to 4K resolution. The image quality is on par with and better than most tablets, not just in terms of resolution.

Despite being referred to as a tablet, the Asus ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT02 is actually a full-fledged laptop. It is powered by the gaming-class 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H CPU and an 8 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 4070 Laptop GPU. The system includes 1 TB of internal storage and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM (non-user upgradeable). Additionally, the tablet has an external small M.2 SSD socket for simple storage expansion. Additionally, the tablet comes pre-installed with the more secure Windows 11 Pro OS.

The tablet's performance on the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark test—2590 points on the single-core test, 12509 points on the multi-core test—and its GPU benchmark result—112560 points—are comparable to those of high-end gaming laptops with comparable components. On this system, I also played GTA V a lot. It easily produced over 130 frames per second at 1080p resolution with high graphics settings and over 60 frames per second at native 2K resolution.

Leaving the benchmarks aside, the screen is adequate for gaming, but I thought it was a little on the tiny side, and the lack of an HDMI port made it even more difficult to connect a separate display I had.

While the laptop is rather quiet when performing routine tasks like browsing the web or watching movies or TV episodes, it becomes quite noisy and the entire device's chassis becomes a little warm when playing games.

The tablet has a 56Whr battery and a USB Type-C connection that supports 130W rapid charging. The laptop provided an average battery life of four to five hours throughout my tests with moderate usage. The laptop does grow warm while charging, which is to be anticipated given that it has a full metal body. Even though it still does not provide all-day battery life, it can outlast the majority of gaming devices with comparable power. While any USB-PD charger can be used to charge the tablet, the 130W charger that comes with the tablet is recommended for optimal performance.
