In the most recent fodder fraud case, the Jharkhand court has rendered its decision. On August 28, 36 defendants were found guilty and given four-year jail terms in the court of CBI Special Judge Vishal Srivastava. They also have to pay a fine. The former District Animal Husbandry Officer Gauri Shankar Prasad has been fined Rs 1 crore. The penalties for everyone else would be Rs 3 lakh apiece.

Ranchi. The latest fodder scam case's 36 convicted defendants received sentences from the special CBI court. In the most recent fraud case, the court fined and imprisoned 36 defendants for a total of four years. Gauri Shankar Prasad, the district animal husbandry officer at the time, was fined one crore. Everyone else has been charged a fine of Rs 3 lakh apiece.

All were found guilty on August 28

Significantly, all of them were found guilty on August 28 by the Special CBI Judge Vishal Srivastava's court. The hearing date for the sentencing issue was set for September 1.

All of the defendants were hauled from jail to court for the hearing on the sentencing issue, where the judge then delivered the verdict.

At RIMS, one of the defendants, Dr. KM Prasad, is receiving medical care. On his behalf, a request was made for the VC to deliver the punishment.

There has been an unauthorised withdrawal from the Doranda Treasury.

In this case, 28 vendors and 8 governmental employees are implicated. The incident involves a 36.59 crore rupee withdrawal that was against the law from the Doranda Treasury. In 1996, the CBI filed a FIR in the case and assigned it the case number (RC 48A/96).

192 people were initially named as suspects in this investigation. The case's charge sheet was submitted in November 2001. In April 2005, allegations were made against the accused. 56 suspects perished during the trial.
