'Don't go to...' threats were made to foreign investors, according to PM Modi during the Vibrant Gujarat festival

According to PM Modi, central ministers used to avoid the Vibrant Gujarat conference. "Pata nahi peeche se danda chalta tha," PM Modi continued.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on the 20-year history of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and said that at the time, the federal government had not offered any assistance. Instead, the central ministers declined to go, and Gujarat was threatened with losing foreign investment. "However, investors arrived even though there was no reward for them.

They arrived only as a result of good governance, fair governance, equitable growth distribution, and transparent government, according to PM Modi, who also accused the previous central administration of viewing Gujarat's development through political lenses. "The central ministers used to promise me they'd be there for sure. Vo mana kar dete the, pata nahi peeche se danda chalta tha. They used to put up barriers and never cooperate, according to PM Modi.

"I recall that in 2009, due to a worldwide slowdown, I was asked by everyone to cancel Vibrant Gujarat. But I declined. In the worst case scenario, the summit would fail. There shouldn't be any interruptions to the routine, according to PM Modi. According to PM Modi, all states were invited to participate in vibrant Gujarat, which was always created with a national vision. "Gujarat has long been regarded as a state for commerce. However, Gujarat became a manufacturing, financial, industrial, and agricultural centre in the twenty-first century when the state also improved its commerce, according to PM Modi.

Narendra Modi, the state's chief minister at the time, established Vibrant Gujarat, an investor gathering, in 2003. The business summit is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and PM Modi launched the event on Wednesday. The 10th annual Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, with the theme "Gateway to the Future," will take place in Gandhinagar from January 10 to 12, 2019.
