Within a few days of its formal introduction, Threads recorded over 100 million sign-ups, experiencing immediate success.


Threads by Instagram finds it difficult to keep up its early level of user engagement. Recent information from a Similarweb survey reveals a serious setback, with a startling 79% decline in visitors within a month. This substantial decline indicates a discernible decline in user engagement and activity on the X (formerly Twitter) alternative.




The Threads Android app saw a high traffic of 49.3 million daily active users on July 7, but that number has since dropped to only 10.3 million. Similar to this, in the US, the average daily time spent on the site has decreased from 21 minutes to only 3 minutes.


Comparatively, Threads' contemporary X has more than 100 million users who are active at the moment and who log in for an average of 25 minutes each day, indicating more activity.


Within a few days of its formal introduction, Threads recorded over 100 million sign-ups, experiencing immediate success. The platform, however, was unable to support that volume of traffic and has subsequently seen a sharp fall.


Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a series of Threads postings that the site saw an unprecedented reaction at introduction and that the business is presently striving to stabilise the platform by introducing new features and keeping the user base.


The firm recently added features including separate timelines for follower accounts, chronological timelines, and more.


Almost every fortnite, the business updates Threads with new features and functionalities, and Instagram Head Adam Mosseri also announced that Threads' online version will soon be available.
