Two militants, including the sub-zonal commander, of the Jharkhand Pratishna Committee, a militant group in Jharkhand, were detained by the KISCO police station in the Lohardaga district of that state. They have yielded up two smartphones and a mobile phone with a keypad. The incident was reported to the Kisco police station under case number 22/23 on July 10, 2023.

Police Sub-Inspector Palicarp Toppo, in charge of the KISCO police station, Police Sub-Inspector Anant Marandi, Assistant Sub-Inspector Avinash Kumar Singh, Constable Sukra Lohra, Jibrail Billung, Lalit Oraon, Technical Branch Neeraj Kumar Mishra, and Driver Constable Nirmal were all members of the team that arrested the two militants. At the Balumath police station in Latehar, Abhimanyu has been reported for violating the Arms Act, the CLA Act, Case No. 15/19 for levy demand, and ST No. 73/18 for occurrences of various offences, including the Arms Act. Police are looking into the situation.
