Researchers who travelled to the Antarctic Ocean to do study have discovered a new species. While removing the net from the frigid deep water, they came upon this monster. The Invertebrate Systematics Journal released the experts' report on this on July 14.

Between 2008 and 2017, a research team excursion was conducted here to examine and identify the enigmatic marine life. Promachocrinus Antarctic Feather Star is one of these enigmatic creatures. This enormous creature can survive in water as deep as 65,000 feet and yet be at ease. However, if the researcher is to be believed, these organisms resemble 'creatures from another world' floating in the water. Despite being invertebrate marine animals, feather stars vary from other well-known starfish.

In their research, scientists have found a variety of unusual marine creatures. The eight-winged star Antarctic strawberry species has also been identified in this succession. Its strawberry-like look led to its naming. Its body is joined to 20 arms. It can also shift from purple to dark crimson in colour.

The size of the animal has not been specified by scientists, but they have stated that it is enormous. Before classifying it as a new species, its size and DNA were examined, he said. This animal can survive in the Southern Ocean between a depth of 215 feet and 3840 feet.

The two types of appendages found in the new species are. Its shorter, lower sides have an almost striped, rough appearance. The lengthier, top arms, however, have a delicate, almost feathery appearance. The Antarctic Strawberry Feather Stars' lower portion of the body also resembles a triangle in form. The top is fairly broad, while the bottom is thin and rounded. Its body has circular scuffs that may be the result of broken limbs that give it a rough appearance.
