In connection with the discovery of 28 firearms last year during Operation Double Bull in the Bulbul forest near the Lohardaga-Latehar border, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed an additional charge sheet against 16 suspects, among them a lady.

On Saturday, a special court received the supplemental charge sheet against these individuals under different provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the Arms Act, the Explosive Substances Act, the Criminal Law Amendment Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

According to reports, the Naxalites had prepared Budha Pahar completely and had gathered weapons and ammunition in order to exact revenge on the Politburo member Prashant Bose, aka Budha, who had been detained for winning the $1,000,000 reward. It was led by Maoist regional leader Ravindra Ganjhu, who was carrying a prize of Rs 15 lakh.

In the charge sheet, these individuals' names

Among those chargesheeted by the NIA are Balram Oraon alias Bali, Shaileshwar Oraon alias Mandeep alias Kasai, Dashrath Singh Kherwar, Shailendra Nagesia alias Vinod Nagesia, Markush Nagesia alias Markush, Mukesh Korva, Biren Korva, Sheela Kherwar, Sanjay Nagesia alias Mota, Balak Ganjhu alias Sukhdayal Ganjhu, Suraj Nath Kherwar alias Guddu, Nandkishore Bharti alias Sudarshan Bhuiya, Aman Ganjhu, Jatru Kherwar, Muneshwar Ganjhu and Govind Birijiya.

The Jharkhand Police had submitted a charge sheet against the first nine suspects on May 18, 2022, earlier in the year. In this case, a charge sheet has been submitted so far against 25 suspects.

Operation Double Bull, which was jointly initiated in February 2022 by Jharkhand Police and the CRPF, was the vehicle for this triumph. After taking over the case, the NIA obtained the testimonies of the Naxalites who had been detained as part of the inquiry and looked into the role that the terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International may have played.

FIR was filed on June 14, 2022

At the Pesharar police station in Lohardaga, a FIR was filed on February 21 of the previous year in connection with the discovery of weapons and ammunition. The NIA has filed a FIR in RC-02/2022/NIA/RNC on June 14, 2022, re-filing this case. Starting on February 8, 2022, the campaign was taking place along the Lohardaga-Latehar border.

Dinesh Nagesia, a militant, was killed in a confrontation during this operation. On the other hand, six Maoists who were still active were detained with a reward of Rs 10 lakh along with a zonal commander, three sub-zonal commanders, an area commander, and five other Maoists.

Throughout this operation, 28 guns, ammunition, and IEDs were all recovered. 19 of these 28 weapons—which the Naxalites took from the police in a number of incidents—were part of the total.

The Jharkhand Naxalites and the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) gang were linked in this case. Only after this did the NIA express interest in looking into this matter, which was approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the NIA registered a case in its Ranchi branch under the case number RC-02/2022/NIA/Ranchi.

The search effort lasted for 20 days

Jharkhand Police and the CRPF began Operation Double Bull in Bulbul Jungle, a campaign against the Maoist squad led by regional leader Ravindra Ganjhu, with a reward of 15 lakhs.

Security forces were informed that Balram Oraon, Muneshwar Ganjhu, Balak Ganjhu, Dinesh Nagesia, Aghnu Ganjhu, Lajim Ansari, Markush Nagesia, Sanjay Nagesia, Sheela Kherwar, Lalita Devi, and 40–60 more Naxalites had travelled to the main city with Ravindra Ganjhu. He is carrying out the incident right now.

He is planning to harm the security personnel as well as attack the bauxite mine. Based on this knowledge, the CRPF and Jharkhand Police together conducted Operation Double Bull in Bahabar Jungle and Bangala Pat in Harkatta Toli, which is where the success mentioned above was attained.
