Chaibasa: In Chaibasa, Jharkhand, the conflict between the Gop community and the residents of Khunta village, which is part of the Mufasil police station area, is not showing any signs of abating. The debate is becoming more complex.

For the last month, the residents of Gop Samaj have been made to live like captives. A disagreement between the Gop community and other people of the village has arisen as a result of the villagers' pressure to force the Gop community to graze cattle.

As a result, several antisocial individuals under the leadership of Munda, a villager, encircled the homes in the Gop settlement with bushes. The inhabitants of Gop Samaj are having a lot of trouble getting to and from their homes as a result.

Gop Samaj members have protested about this from the Muffsil police station to the Sadar SDO and Deputy Commissioner, but as of late, the administration members continued to put off solving the problem. This is the cause of why the issue hasn't been settled yet.

In this circumstance, it is currently being reported that on Thursday, the anti-social villagers entirely blocked down the route to and from the hamlet. The residents of Gop Samaj are currently experiencing more challenges, which has resulted in their confinement to a small area inside the hamlet.

Children cannot get to school because to the closure of the road

The men and ladies from the victim's family managed to get past the siege on Friday and see the Deputy Commissioner. The Gop community members said that because of the obstructions, the neighborhood's youngsters are unable to get to school.

The right to an education is being denied to them. They cannot travel even when working for pay. This has led to the current famine catastrophe. Additionally, the members of the GOP community are being intimidated with bogus accusations and harassment lawsuits.

The residents of Gop Samaj are alarmed as a result. The Deputy Commissioner has been asked to address this issue quickly. If a solution is not found, the members of the Gop community, who now reside at the police station under the protection of the police and live in a climate of fear and intimidation, should be given permission to leave the village.

If justice is not served, I'll fast until I die

The Gop Samaj members who travelled to Chaibasa to visit the Deputy Commissioner declared that they would sit on a fast till they died if the district government did not provide them with justice, and that the district administration would bear sole responsibility for that.

The residents of the Gop settlement claim that the residents of the village are pressuring them to graze cattle against their will. When the members of the community refused to graze the cattle, some antisocial characters obstructed their path with bushes. This issue has been ongoing since July 5 of last year.
