The version 117 of Google Chrome adds a number of new security features.

A much-needed upgrade to Google's Chrome web browser will be available soon. With version 117, Chrome will proactively let users know why an extension has been removed from the Chrome Web Store. In accordance with the company's official blog post, the most recent version gives customers greater control and significantly increases the security of Google Chrome web surfing.

Users may now examine extensions that have been removed from the Chrome Web Store, particularly if they were flagged as malicious software or for breaking store rules. The "Privacy and Security" area of the settings menu will allow users to evaluate these modifications.

Users have the option to delete the extension from the same menu or keep using it while hiding the warning. As a result, users may now access extensions that have been flagged as malicious, a function that was not available in prior iterations of Google Chrome.

The 117th beta version of Google Chrome will be released in the next days, according to the firm.

Google said in another blog post that Chrome will convert all URLs from "http" to "https" automatically in order to enable automatic encryption and improve user privacy. Similar to this, Google will alert users before they download a "high-risk" file from an unprotected domain.
