On Saturday night in Girdih, Jharkhand, a bus slid from a bridge into a river, killing three persons and injuring 24 others. Anil Kumar, a Giridih Sub-Divisional Police Officer, reportedly told PTI that the collision happened on Giridih Dumri Road at 8.40 p.m. The bus overturned into the Barakar river as it was travelling from Ranchi to Giridih.




Girdih: On the evening of August 5, three persons were murdered and 24 others were hurt when a bus fell into a river from a bridge in Girdih, Jharkhand.


The bus driver, the contractor for Giridih, and the agricultural department accountant were among the 20 injured people who had to be evacuated.


There were 30 people aboard the bus, and all of the injured are receiving medical attention there. When the bus was being overtaken, the driver lost control and the vehicle plummeted, shattering the bridge railing in the process.


Anil Kumar, a Giridih Sub-Divisional Police Officer, reportedly told PTI that the collision happened on Giridih Dumri Road at 8.40 p.m. The bus overturned into the Barakar river as it was travelling from Ranchi to Giridih in Peertand.


As rescue and relief efforts are under progress, the official stated that more information cannot be determined at this time.


According to Dr. SP Mishra, the civil surgeon for Giridih, "Three people have been treated as declared death in the incident, while 24 people are injured."


CM Soren lamented the incident with sorrow

Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, reported that rescue efforts are being carried out by the police and local government.


The unfortunate news has come in that a bus travelling from Ranchi to Giridih in Jharkhand was involved in an accident in the Barakar river. The district administration as well as the leaders and employees of JMM are working on rescue efforts.


"Received the sad news that a bus travelling from Ranchi to Giridih met with an accident throughout the Barakar river at Giridih, Jharkhand," tweeted Hemant, our Soren. The district administration is conducting a rescue mission."


Deepak Sharma, the superintendent of police in Giridih, claimed to be on the scene and in charge of the rescue efforts. The bus's precise passenger capacity has not yet been determined.


Banna Gupta wishes for everybody's safety

Banna Gupta, the state's minister of health, tweeted about the incident and noted that rescue and relief efforts are ongoing. Additionally, he has requested safety and said that this rescue must be carried out without any slack. The statement made by Giridih DC Naman Priyesh on this unfortunate tragedy has recently come to light. He stated that there was information regarding the hiring of 6 to 8 individuals by Navjeevan.


In addition to this, one is in Govardhan and 14 are receiving care at Sadar Hospital. Three people have been reported killed at the same time.
