Washington. An American man won $1,000,000 in an instant thanks to a scratch-off lottery purchased at a liquor store. The young man took home the $1 million reward. KCRA News reported that a young guy by the name of Wang Cha claimed to have paid $30 for numerous scratch-off tickets. He first received $500 from a lottery win.

He then purchased the complete lottery book, after which he won a $1 million reward. He scratched off the fourth and final sequence of his ticket, and the lottery was announced, according to Fox News. He found it hard to accept that he had amassed a million dollars.

According to Wang Cha, "I scanned it on the lottery app to make sure it was true, and it was true." Cha said he would start investing his money and beginning purchasing more lottery tickets than previously. It has happened before in recent weeks that someone has won such a huge sum in the lottery. Mohammad Adil Khan, an Indian expat residing in the UAE, took home the inaugural FAST5 Grand Prize a short while ago.

For the next 25 years, he will continue to collect AED 25,000 (or around 5.5 lakh) per month.

Mohammad Adil Khan, an architect from Lucknow, claimed in the official statement that he "never imagined" that his first purchase would make him the grand prize winner. Adil hopes to purchase a home for his family with his large prize and also plans to look into other investing options. According to the statement, one day while looking through social media, he decided to buy a lottery ticket after seeing an advertising.
