Anushree Agarwal, the wife of detained Nucleus Mall owner Vishnu Agarwal, has been called in by the ED as part of its investigation into the Ranchi land fraud under the money laundering statute.

Anushree will be questioned by ED on August 26. This is Anushree Agarwal's first summons. He will be questioned by the ED in relation to the illegitimate acquisition and sale of one acre of land on Cheshire Home Road.

Who can ED question?

ED will endeavour to find out where he obtained the funds to purchase the mentioned land. Who was it that supported him? Through two sale deeds, Puneet Bhargava sold that land to Vishnu Agarwal and his wife Anushree Agarwal.

Imtiaz Ahmed and Bharat Prasad were previously granted power of attorney by Rajesh Rai through the creation of fictitious documents using one acre of Cheshire Home Road.

Following this, on February 6, 2021, they both registered the aforementioned land to Puneet Bhargava. Puneet Bhargava allegedly paid one crore 78 lakh 55 thousand 800 rupees in exchange for this in the deed.

payment was merely 25 lakhs as shown

But according to an ED inquiry, Puneet Bhargava only claimed to have received Rs 25 lakh from the account of his business Shiva Fabkan.

In the deed, the remaining sum has been incorrectly indicated. Two months after buying the land, on April 1, 2021, Puneet Bhargava sold it to Vishnu Agarwal and Anushree Agarwal with two sale deeds.

On one act, one crore two lakh sixty thousand rupees and on another, 77 lakh forty thousand rupees were paid. Puneet Bhargava moved Rs 1 crore to the account of Prem Prakash's business, Gemini Enterprises, shortly after the registration.
