A lady from Arizona has been detained for allegedly trying to poison her husband's everyday coffee for months in order to kill him. According to CNN, Melody Felicano Johnson of Tempe was charged by a grand jury with first-degree attempted murder (domestic violence), assault with intent attempt, and food or drink poisoning.

The suspect's husband, Roby Johnson, first noticed a bad taste in his coffee in March whereas they had been posted in Germany, according to court records acquired by the media site.

Police said Mr. Johnson is a member of the US Air Forces. The parents of the shared kid were divorcing while cohabitating.

According to the news source, Mr. Johnson feigned to finish his coffee so he could delay filing a police report until they arrived back at Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

Mr. Johnson admitted to setting up many covert cameras once more to catch her in the act. The indictment claims that Mrs. Johnson was seen in the video "taking bleach, pouring it into a container, and then walking over and pouring it into the coffee maker."

After Mr. Johnson gave police the video, an inquiry was started. According to Mr. Johnson, his wife planned to kill him so she could receive his death benefits.

The accused is being held in the Pima County Jail on a $250,000 bail after the prosecution persuaded the judge that she constitutes a flight risk since she just bought a home close to the family in the Philippines, according to The Independent.

Melody Johnson pleaded not guilty during her Friday arraignment. The date of her upcoming court appearance is September 6.
