What is the Railways' HRMS, Jharkhand? Now, railway workers won't acquire leave by travelling to Babu, but rather in this manner
For the convenience of railway officials and railwaymen, the Jharkhand News Railway Board has implemented HRMS, which would maintain the leave records of all workers and officers. Railway workers won't have to leave their work to go to their department's officer to request a leave of absence. Starting on August 1, railway workers or railway officials will be able to submit a leave request online using HRMS.
Chakradharpur: As on August 1, railway employees will be able to request leave online using the Human Resource Management System Portal (HRMS) portal rather than having to submit a written request.
Senior railway authorities have access to the HRMS facility, as well as regular railway workers. The Railways had a long-standing custom of applying for leave manually. This reform is also a significant effort to alter the practise of babus and railway officers taking vacation time. Employees won't have to rely on babus for leave any longer.
In this regard, Principal Executive Director (HR) VG Bhumia of Railway Board has passed a notification in the names of directors of 19 zones of Indian Railways, general managers of production units, and DRMs of 70 railway divisions, directing them to implement the new system of Human Resource Management System portal as of August 1.
The sole source of employment for railway employees will be HRMS.
For the convenience of railway officers and railwaymen, the Railway Board has adopted HRMS, where all employees' and officers' leave records will be maintained. Additionally, employees may access information on this site on their salaries, transfer postings, leaves of absence, training, wage increases, etc. The information from all 19 railway zones and 70 railway divisions will be published to this platform following its introduction.
The Chakradharpur Railway Division employs 26,000 railway personnel
The primary goal of HRMS is to offer online functionality. The HRMS portal will be accessible from home for railway personnel. There are thousands of railway workers working throughout the nation, whereas the four railway divisions of the South Eastern Railway zone employ roughly 82,000 railway workers.
In this, the Chakradharpur Railway Division employs over 26 000 people. As on August 1, railway employees will only be able to submit a mobile application for leave through HRMS rather than a written one. The HRMS portal will have all the details on the amount of leave that railwaymen have accrued or taken already.
How can railway employees utilise the HRMS portal?
Only railway employees and authorities will have access to their portal's information. On the HRMS interface, railway personnel must provide their PPO number and birthdate. Following this, all of the information will begin to show up on the site.
The retired personnel of the railways will also have access to this resource. For this, each railway worker will have a unique user name and password. OTP will be required to enter the portal and will be delivered to the registered cellphone number.
Railway workers won't have to leave their work to go to their department's officer to request a leave of absence. The railway workers' on-duty hours will be reduced. The ability to request a leave of absence online will be available as of August 1.
