Today's Weather Prediction: Over the next 24 hours, coastal Karnataka, the Konkan, and Goa may have moderate to heavy rain, with extremely heavy rain likely in one or two locations. Over Kerala, Madhya Maharashtra, portions of Telangana, Vidarbha, interior Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall with some severe downpours are probable.


In New Delhi: Once more, North India will see severe downpours. After occasional rainfall last week, the Meteorological Department reports that the weather is once again favourable. The monsoon will be in full force in the days to come. IMD predicts that mild to moderate rain might fall in Delhi-NCR today. 


In Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, East Rajasthan, and Gujarat, there is a chance of light rain.


Speaking about the weather patterns across the nation, the monsoon axis is moving in its usual direction, according to the private meteorological service Skymet. The eastern margin of the trough is now to the south of where it normally occurs. Northwest Uttar Pradesh is under a cyclonic circulation. From the coast of Maharashtra to the coast of Kerala, there is an offshore pressure line at mean sea level. Another trough runs from Sikkim to West Bengal to North Chhattisgarh. Over South Gujarat, a cyclonic circulation is present. The last cyclonic circulation has passed.


Forecast for strong to heavy rain from plains to mountains

Heavy rains have been predicted by the meteorological department for Sikkim, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu. Ladakh, western Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, and coastal Andhra Pradesh might get light rain during the next 24 hours. Over Kerala, Madhya Maharashtra, portions of Telangana, Vidarbha, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall are possible. IMD has forecast moderate to severe rainfall, with a few extremely heavy showers possible in a few locations, over Coastal Karnataka, the Konkan, and Goa.


The Meteorological Division has put out an orange signal for moderate to heavy rain in six districts of Kerala: Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. In the districts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Palakkad, a yellow alert has been issued. These districts' residents have been urged not to go diving today. Most of the districts in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, and Indore divisions have a probability of receiving rain today. In some areas of Bhopal and Shahdol division, it will also rain.


For the next five days, the climate in Himachal Pradesh, a mountainous state, will be unfavourable. The next five days might see medium to heavy rainfall in various parts of the state, according to the Meteorological Centre Shimla. In Uttarakhand, it is always raining. In three districts of the Garhwal division, the Meteorological Division has issued an orange alert for July 6. IMD has warned that Dehradun, Tehri, and Pauri districts may see severe rainfall. Light to moderate rain fell throughout Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, portions of Bihar, Assam, sections of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada over the last 24 hours, along with a few isolated heavy rainfall.


Most states in the nation are expected to see rain over the next 24 hours.

Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, sections of Gujarat, Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Madhya Maharashtra all had light to moderate rainfall.
