He stated in the letter that the current violence in the state of Manipur was forcing him to write to you with a heavy heart and much agony. He suggested that efforts be made to bring about peace there.


Hemant Soren stated that he was extremely upset and concerned about the deteriorating situation in Manipur as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and as a concerned citizen of our nation. In Manipur, hundreds of innocent lives have been lost.


Several ethnic groups residing in the impacted areas now feel a great deal of insecurity due to the damage of property and public infrastructure, terrible torture, and sexual exploitation of women.


The CM of Jharkhand stated that two days ago, the social media video that went viral really shocked everyone. The fundamental values of human life and dignity that are inscribed in our Constitution appear to be entirely disintegrating. The type of savagery we have witnessed in Manipur on a physical, mental, and psychic level could never be tolerated by a society.


Government in Manipur failed

According to media accounts, over 40,000 people—including children—have been relocated. They are housed in makeshift camps.
