Skip north Goa and head north of Goa

Visitors visit the north Travellers move beyond Goa. Here are five benefits of travelling.

If you're visiting Goa in search of solitude and serenity, you could have a hard time doing so in the state's popular areas. Panaji, Calangute, Anjuna, and Vagator are among the locations that are practically as busy as Delhi or Mumbai.

8.1 million tourists are estimated to have come in Goa during the preceding tourist season (November 2022 to February 2023) (state official prediction). This is five times the estimated 1.5 million residents of the state.

However, Goa is large (3,702 square kilometres), so if you want to, you can always find calm there

Since self-riding scooters and cabs are highly expensive in Goa, most people stay in or near the city cores, a local travel operator told FE. That indicates that Goa's far north, south, and east are comparatively vacant, with some areas being nearly completely free of human activity.

Northern Goa

One such location we recently visited was Querim Beach, Goa's northernmost beach, which is around two hours beyond Panaji. Maruti Suzuki Fronx 1.0-litre Boosterjet 6-speed AT was the vehicle we were given.

The Boosterjet AT is the Baleno's most manoeuvrable form, and the Fronx is a crossover version of the car. The pricing range for it (ex-showroom) is between Rs. 12.05 lakh and Rs. 13.13 lakh, and its fuel efficiency is 20.01 km/litre.

Goa ends in Querim, also known as Keri. The most notable feature of Querim is the discharge of the Terekhol River, which extends for roughly 2 kilometres (containing sand, boulders, and trees). There are no hawkers, plastic garbage, or water sports available here. All that is there are a few people and the breeze, beach, sea, and sun.

Maharashtra, or the region north of Goa, is located beyond Querim and is a veritable wonderland. In fact, it is so stunning that a beach there is named Paradise. However, in order to go to Paradise, you must put your automobile on a ferry and cross the Terekhol (a car ticket costs Rs 5, while a pedestrian ticket is free). Paradise has a straight beach with sand that has a pale hue. Due to the lack of a significant city nearby and the fact that most visitors to Goa stay in the state, the beach is likewise rather deserted.

Five reasons to visit Goa's less-traveled areas

You may experience some level of stress throughout most drives in Goa or even in the traffic of your home city. Driving in a relaxed manner on an open road, whether it is in Goa or elsewhere, may relieve collected stress.

The remote areas of Goa offer you an opportunity to engage in both of these aspects of travel: exploring new locations and your own self.

The surroundings are really clean, therefore they'll not only purify your body but also your mind.

Goa and booze go way back. Do you really want to be one of the multiple individuals who visit Goa to party there?

Making lifetime experiences when visiting such remote locations may not be possible if one is delayed in Panaji traffic.
