Banks will begin reporting on the new CIMS, says the RBI Governor
"The new system (CIMS) can be purchased with reporting by normal commercial banks and will be progressively expanded to urban bank cooperatives (UCBs) and not-for-profit financial institutions (NBFCs)," Das stated following the new system's debut.
Shaktikanta Das, governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), debuted the next-generation data warehouse, the Centralised Information Management System (CIMS), on Friday.
"The new system (CIMS) will begin with reports by routine commercial banks and will be progressively expanded to urban bank cooperatives (UCBs) and non- banking financial institutions (NBFCs)," Das stated following the new system's debut.
According to him, the CIMS manages Big Data using cutting-edge technology and will provide a platform for power users to do data mining and analysis."Time to hang up boots," says Parekh as he announces his retirement.
