The pattern of rising NDA voter participation
If we examine previous election figures, the tendency of voters in favour of the NDA has been more pronounced. It has increased to more than 50%. Out of the 14 seats up for grabs in the 2004 general elections, Congress received six, while JMM candidates took home four. It improved outcomes for the coalition against the BJP. As a result of receiving more than 37% of the vote, this coalition won 13 seats.
In 2009, things turned around, with the BJP winning eight of the 14 seats and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha winning two and the Congress one. BJP won 12 seats in the 2014 elections, while JMM took home two seats.
The NDA's vote share increased to above 50% after winning 12 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, while the vote share of the JMM-Congress coalition, which won two seats, stayed around 32%.
