Ranchi: If you drive a car in Ranchi's capital or have brought a car from somewhere else, follow the traffic laws. By doing this, your issue could get worse and a tiny error might go rather bad. In reality, the city's e-challan system has just begun, and Ranchi Smart City is utilising a variety of cutting-edge technological tools in every nook and cranny of the nation's capital Ranchi for this purpose.

Through the use of these cutting-edge tools, all cars operating on municipal roads are continuously watched. cars that violate traffic laws are automatically identified under this system, and e-challans are delivered.

These challans are being distributed from Ranchi Smart City's command centre in collaboration with the transport division and traffic police.

More than 50,000 people have received markings

More than 50,000 persons have been flagged as not wearing helmets so far in one month, and the traffic police have received information about every element of the rule infringement they committed, including the location where the rule was breached and the vehicle. Based on this information, the Ranchi Traffic Police have started sending e-challans.

Challans have also begun to be given to cars that violate the city's speed limit at the same time. More than 1500 individuals have been found to be above the speed limit in only five days. The fact that e-challan has started for cars travelling in the other way calls for greater caution than this.

How many devices are under observation

More than 1000 gadgets are being removed from the side of violators of traffic laws by Ranchi Smart City and Ranchi Police from the city's 70 crossroads. These devices employ RLVD cameras, ANPR cameras, and SVD cameras as part of the ITMS (Intelligent Transit Management System).

The Ranchi Smart City Corporation urges locals to obey traffic laws and take precautions for their safety. Through changeable message signs, people are also reminded to obey traffic laws.

A different team is working on the e-challan

Ranchi Smart City Corporation CEO Amit Kumar and Ranchi SSP Kishore Kaushal have given the order to issue e-challans, and this job is being carried out under their direction by maintaining specialised personnel at the Command Control and Communication Centre. The Ranchi Smart City staff has been given specific directives.
