The NIA agency claims that Faizan was actively involved in strengthening the cadre base of the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) throughout the nation. He maintained contact with ISIS terrorist group's overseas handlers. He was coordinating deadly acts in India with the terrorist group ISIS's international handlers.

According to the CIA, preliminary investigations revealed that Faizan was promoting ISIS on numerous online media platforms and supporting its activities in the nation. He plotted a crime using an online media platform with the help of his allies and other unidentified people.

This plot's objective was to execute a brutal terrorist strike in India on behalf of the terrorist group ISIS. He actively recruited fresh kids to increase the size of the terrorist cadre base in the nation. He was receiving direction for this from agents of the terrorist group operating abroad. Additionally, he was getting ready to travel to the ISIS organization's overseas training facility in order to carry out the violent incident in the nation.

After intense searches in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, Faizan was found.

Before detaining Faizan in Lohardaga, the NIA carried out a thorough search of Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh in connection with him. He wasn't taken into custody by the NIA from Lohardaga until after the search, which happened on Wednesday.

He attends the Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh Muslim University. His leased accommodation in Aligarh as well as his Lohardaga home in Jharkhand were both searched by the NIA on July 16 and 17. Additionally, the NIA has received and is analysing certain digital data, papers, and undesirable objects from his sites.

FIR filed with the NIA's Ranchi branch

In conjunction with Faizan's detention, a FIR was filed on July 19 in the Ranchi branch of the NIA under case number RC-02/2023/NIA-RNC. A FIR has been filed against him in the UAPA-related provisions in addition to the Bhadvi section. Following the capture of Faizan, the NIA has continued its probe to elucidate every aspect of the international conspiracy.
