In Bokaro, a young man was murdered after two bikes collided on the Petarwar Tenughat major road close to the Chiniyagadha turn of the Petarwar police station area. Four other individuals were hurt in the accident, including two female students. After receiving first assistance at the Community Health Centre in Petarwar, all injured patients were sent to Sadar Hospital in Bokaro. How did the mishap occur?

According to reports, Rohit Kumar Mahato, a 22-year-old inhabitant of Chiruwabeda village in the Arjuva Panchayat neighbourhood of Petarwar police station, was riding his bike home after arranging for his cousin Pushpa Kumari and her friend Shilpa Kumari to show up for the BA Semester 2 test at Tenughat College.

On the other hand, Babuchand Murmu, 25, a native of Dhamna village, was travelling towards Tenughat with Surendra Kisku, 25, his brother-in-law. In the meanwhile, the two motorcycles violently collided close to the Chiniyagarh bend.

A doctor pronounced Rohit dead

Everyone was transported via ambulance to the Community Health Centre. Doctor Kundan Raj pronounced Rohit Kumar Mahato dead at this location.

In the car accident, Babuchand Manjhi's left arm and leg were fractured, while Surendra Kisku, Pushpa Kumari, and Shilpa Kumari all had major brain injuries. Polytechnic student Rohit Kumar Mahto passed away.

Twelve accidents occur here each year

Every year, there are at least 12 accidents close to Petwar's Chiniyagadha turn, but the District Road Safety Committee staff failed to notice them.

However, the District Transport Officer and Traffic DSP simply present statistics on fine collection during the meeting. The State Road Construction Department and NHAI authorities are unaware of this problem at the same time. Accident causes are never taken into consideration thereafter. It should be mentioned that on July 2, a bike crash here claimed the lives of four persons.

Residents of Gomia, Nitesh Baranwal and Avinash Kumar, who were critically hurt in the collision, passed away in RIMS. After the bike got out of control at this location on July 3, two Gomia Hosir residents, Harish Prasad and Ayush Kumar Raut, suffered significant injuries.
