Over 4 Lakh Hired Through Mission Recruitment: The central government has now hired 4,30,546 persons into government positions through mission recruitment. 3,61,763 of them are men and 68,783 are women. The majority of open positions in the central government are held by the Dept. of Railways (1,38,986 vacancies), followed by the State's Department of Posts (68,225 vacancies), and the Cabinet of Home Affairs (43,592).

In Delhi. The national government has moved quickly to keep its commitment to give 10 lakh people government jobs by the end of this year. According to government statistics, a woman was hired for every six applicants thus far as part of the government's mass hiring initiative, "Mission Recruitment," which aims to fill 10 lakh positions by the end of 2023.

Six job fairs have been hosted by the central government so far. At least 4,30,546 candidates have received government employment during these as teachers, doctors, clerks, and typists.

According to an investigation by the Indian Express, the Minister of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions' data revealed that 3,61,763 (84%) males and 68,783 (16%) women were among those who received central government positions. Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered to fill 10 lakh open positions within 18 months in June of last year. Following this, massive recruiting drives were launched in numerous government agencies. On October 14, a few months after PM Modi's declaration, the first job fair was held.

The Ministry of Railways has the most open positions (1,38,986), that follows the Department of Posts (68,225), and the Minister of Home Affairs (43,592). 33,743 applicants for the Department of Financial Services were chosen as a result. In addition, there were 11,536 new hires in the higher education department, 14,952 in the revenue department, and 18,635 in the defence ministry. According to the Personnel Ministry, Group B and Group C level positions undergo extensive recruitment. This immediately assists these departments in offering state-of-the-art, high-quality services to the public.

The ministry claims that all hiring is completed in a timely and transparent manner through recruitment organisations like SSC, UPSC, and RRB. The hiring procedure has undergone a "qualitative change" under the Modi administration, according to Jitendra Singh, Government of State for Personnel, complaints to the public and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office. For instance, interviews for lower grade positions are no longer required. As a result, there isn't much room for favouritism, nepotism, or hiring-process rigging. The written test is the only factor considered for selection, and the skill test is just used to qualify candidates.
