Russia News: How will Wagner's uprising affect President Putin's authority, and will the Russian people continue to support him?

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group and the man who led the deadliest war in Ukraine, led his troops to victory over Rostov, a southern military area of Russia, on Saturday "without firing a single shot." The uprising of Prigozhin was viewed as a significant threat to Russian President Vladimir Putin's position of political authority.

In Delhi. Vladimir Putin's popularity will grow even more after the uprising of the so-called militia Wagner Group in Russia, and he will come out on top. Russian citizens reportedly support Putin, according to sources in the Indian administration. The Wagner group's uprising is considered as a threat to the unity of the nation; in such a scenario, Russian citizens will band together under Putin's leadership.

The sources went on to say that while the West and the media could attempt to fabricate a story about the rebellion led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group, Putin might still come out on top. The Wagner Group leader may be labelled a rebel and his actions may be regarded as treason. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner, has been outspoken about Putin from the outset. After the conflict with Ukraine, his disobedience was initially seen to be a show off, but today the Wagner Group has come forward to question Putin's authority.

According to the office of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Prigozhin, who was willing to decrease the situation, Moscow is now entirely calm after the Wagner issue came to light. A private defence contractor and the Russian military are at odds right now. Moscow has been "absolutely calm" since the Wagner issue came to light, the sources added.

without firing a shot, captured

The bloodiest fight in Ukrainian history was conducted by Prigozhin's forces, who on Saturday "without firing a single shot" took Rostov, a military outpost in southern Russia. Since Russia started a separatist war in the Donbass region near the border in 2014, Rostov has been a key player in operations in Ukraine. Since then, the city's significance as a military hub has multiplied.

What form did the uprising take?

On Friday, Prigozhin made a video that intensified his conflict with senior Russian military figures and, for the first time, criticised Putin's rationale for invading Ukraine. Al Jazeera reports that Prigozhin was the subject of a criminal investigation by Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), which claimed that "he had called for an armed rebellion against the state."

My people are within Russia's borders, and they are prepared to face the Russian army. In response to the Russian army, Prigozhin Prigozhin claimed that his soldiers had crossed the border from Ukraine to Russia and were prepared to attack. According to audio posted by Prigozhin on Telegram, Wagner fighters subsequently entered Rostov-on-Don. He declared that "not a single shot" had been fired by his forces as they took control of the army headquarters in Rostov.

Prigozhin is charged with "treason" and "a backstab."

In a televised speech, Putin accused Prigozhin of "treason" and "stabbing in the back." According to the RIA news agency, Putin has signed a measure allowing 30 days in jail for violating martial law in areas where it is in effect. Wagner's fighters evacuated Rostov-on-Don's Russian military command after the Belarusian president struck a deal with Prigozhin.
