In Delhi. Currently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the United States on a state visit. Since June 21st of last year, PM Modi has been taking part in various programmes in America. On the second day of his trip, or last Thursday, PM Modi addressed the joint session of the US Congress. Participants included lawmakers and members of the Indian American community.


During the speech of PM Modi, there was a lot of applause. American lawmakers also took selfies with PM Modi. People were seen standing in queue for autographs. Not only this, PM Modi's speech was greeted with a standing ovation. PM Modi gave a speech for about an hour. In the House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi got standing ovation from the MPs a total of 15 times.


While it happened many times that the Indian community present in the gallery stood separately and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi also signed the joint session address book of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy. Apart from this, applause was also played 79 times in the US Parliament during the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


All the members rose to their feet and extended a long round of applause once PM Modi completed speaking. The US House of Commons Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, on the other hand, talked about his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and how enjoyable it was.


"Our time with Prime Minister Modi was fantastic. McCarthy said as he walked into the White House for a state dinner, "We have a very good connection, and Prime Minister Modi is carrying it forward and making both countries stronger.


On Thursday, PM Modi met with Speaker of the House of Commons Kevin McCarthy at the American Capitol prior to his historic speech to the US Congress. PM Modi thanked McCarthy for enabling him to address a joint session of the US Congress as the two leaders shook hands.
