Cyclone Biparjoy: According to Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, general counsel of the India Weather Department (IMD), the cyclone has fallen into a severe depression which is heading in an east-northeast direction.

According to IMD, Biparjoy has developed into a cyclonic storm and is moving slowly in the direction of the north-east. IMD tweeted details

The depression (remnants of CS BIPARJOY) over central portions of East Rajasthan was centred around 60 km west to north of Tonk, 60 km east-southeast of Ajmer on June 18 at 23.30, according to an IMD tweet from a while back. It is extremely likely to drift almost east-northeastward over the following 12 hours while maintaining the depression's strength. In addition, the Gujarat administration must immediately restore power to roughly 1,000 villages and clear the highways of trees that have fallen due to the devastation brought on by the cyclone in Gujarat. IMD has forecasted significant rainfall for North Gujarat.

Cyclone Biparjoy decreased on June 16 into a "Deep Depression" over Kutch, southwest Rajasthan, adjacent southeast Pakistan, and approximately 100 kilometres northeast of Dholavira and into Gujarat, according to the India Weather Department (IMD). After touching down, it travelled to Rajasthan. IMD predicts that Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan's south- and north-eastern regions may see light to moderate rain today.
