Air India: Air India, a member of the Tata Group, has altered its policy on alcohol use during flights. As a result of recent urine episodes, Air India has made this decision.

The incident involving a person peeing on a woman's blanket on the New York-Delhi flight received so much attention that Air India was forced to modify its alcohol policy. The policies on drinking while flying were modified on Tuesday by Air India, a firm owned by the Tata Group. In response to an increase in occurrences involving disruptive passenger conduct, the airline has amended its in-flight alcohol delivery policy.

The crew members must provide alcohol to the passengers with great tact, under the policy modification. In addition, alcohol should be offered on Air India flights in a safe manner.

Changes to Alcohol Policy

Since Air India changed its policy, only alcohol served by the cabin crew shall be consumed by passengers. Crew members should also keep a watchful check on visitors or passengers who have consumed alcohol.

Let us inform you that there have recently been incidences of passenger misconduct on many Air India flights, in which an intoxicated passenger peed on a woman's blanket. Following two consecutive fines for the airline as a result of these instances, Air India altered its alcohol policy.

Once more, the staff declined to serve booze.

The updated guideline also states that serving alcohol to passengers will be prohibited under certain circumstances. Using recommendations from the American National Restaurant Association and other airlines, according to a representative for Air India, the airline has evaluated its current policy on serving alcohol to passengers.

What the heck was going on?

Let us inform you that on two separate Air India foreign flights, a person misbehaved with another passenger. The initial occurrence happened on November 26. On a flight from New York to Delhi, a drunken male passenger peed on a female companion. But afterwards, Bengaluru-based suspect Shankar Mishra was apprehended.

Following that, a man urinated on a woman in the same Air India flight on December 6. A inebriated passenger peed on a female passenger's blanket on board Air India flight 142. Following these events, Air India decided to alter the regulations governing alcohol use while in flight.
