Jugadu Kamlesh is back! Shark Tank Season 1 fame innovator gets applause from Piyush Bansal

 


The popular reality show Shark Tank India features entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas. The ideas they bring are unimaginable and also attract the attention of the audience. Many contestants have been successful in leaving their mark among the judges and the audience as well. One such contestant from season 1 was Jugaadu Kamlesh, who came up with an idea to solve the problems of farmers and introduced a pesticide spraying machine, which he developed over a period of seven years.

Lenskart founder Piyush Bansal was the only shark to support his cause and invested ₹10 lakh in his company KG Agrotech in exchange for 40 per cent equity and offered a ₹20 lakh interest-free loan.

Now, after a year, Bansal has shared an update on the progress of Jugaadu Kamlesh aka Kamlesh Nanasaheb Ghumare.

Bansal shared on his social media handle how the Pesticide Equipment KG Agrotech is now ready with more features. He said that since a year people have been asking him a common question that "What is happening with Kamlesh?"

On his LinkedIn post, Bansal wrote, "After all that said, I am happy to share the first important update on Kamlesh and his startup KG Agrotech (now a private limited firm :). A lot of hard work to get here , lots of research, lots of travel, lots of failures, lots of learning and 4-iteration needed."

He also said that the equipment has been named Bharat-K2 and the first batch of salable carts will be on the ground within 60 days.

“Our first go-to-market version is ready and we are calling it Bharat-K2 (to denote the second version as the original which was presented in the tank). We are starting production with this version And the first batch of salable carts will be on the ground within 60 days."
