One pilot killed, another injured after training aircraft collided with a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa

A pilot was killed and another injured when a plane crashed in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district in the early hours of Friday, news agency ANI reported citing police.


According to Rewa SP Navneet Bhasin, the flight was a training flight. A private company plane was taxiing from Chorhata airstrip in Dumri village of Rewa district when it crashed into the dome of a temple.


Rewa SP Navneet Bhasin told ANI, "During training the plane hit a temple, one pilot died and the other was injured and is undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Medical College."


The team of police personnel reached the spot. Prima facie, the reason for the accident is said to be bad weather and fog prevailing in the area.


Rewa Collector Manoj Pushp told PTI that Captain Vimal Kumar (50), a resident of Patna, died in the accident, while trainee pilot Sonu Yadav (23), a resident of Jaipur, sustained injuries and was admitted to the Government Sanjay Gandhi Medical College Hospital. Gone. ,
