On 6 January, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, flight operations were disrupted due to inclement weather, which was common in the northern and central regions of India, including the country's capital. As a result, the departure of more than eight aircraft was delayed. There was also delay in arrival of flights at Delhi IGI.

All passengers were earlier informed about the fog alarm by the Delhi airport on 5 January. According to officials, poor visibility operations were underway at the Delhi airport. Passengers seeking the latest flight information should contact the airline concerned as officials noted that all flight operations are currently normal.

Due to dense fog and limited visibility, many trains were running late today. Due to fog, two trains of Northern Railway zone have new timetable and 26 trains are running late from their scheduled time. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) projection, many parts of central India and adjoining areas of peninsula, east and northwest India are expected to see minimum and maximum temperatures in January 2023 which are below average.
