Bharat Forge's step-subsidiary JS Auto Cast Foundry will acquire the SEZ unit of Indo Shell Mold Ltd located at Sipcot, Erode in Tamil Nadu, the company said without disclosing the amount for which the deal was done.
JS Auto Cast Foundry India has entered into a business transfer agreement with Indo Shell Mold Limited for this purpose, said Bharat Forge statement.
This acquisition strengthens JS Auto's presence in the casting sector, expands its product offering and customer base, and enhances its footprint in the Indian manufacturing landscape.
The SEZ unit with a capacity of 42,000 MTPA supplies fully mechanized critical castings to customers in the automotive industry and will serve as JS Auto's third manufacturing unit, taking its total capacity to 1,42,000 MTPA, the company said. The acquisition will be EPS accretive from the first year itself.
