New Vande Bharat Express train to be inaugurated on December 11: Reports

 


• Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will be operated by South East Central Railway (SECR) and will have scheduled stops at Raipur, Durg and Gondia as per a report.

Indian Railways is all set to start 6th Vande Bharat Express between Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) – Nagpur (Maharashtra) route on 11th December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the semi-high-speed train of the Indian Railways on Sunday.

A Hindustan Times report quoted a railway official as saying that the Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week and cover one leg of the journey in about five-and-a-half hours.

"The Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat train will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nagpur on Sunday (December 11)," the official said. The train will leave Nagpur at 2 pm and reach Bilaspur at 7.35 pm. At present superfast trains take around seven hours to reach Nagpur, however this train will cover the distance in around five and a half hours," the official said.

Vande Bharat 2.0 has improved heat ventilation and air conditioning control through high efficiency compressor with Ultra Violet (UV) lamp for germ free supply of air. The time taken by the train to reach the speed of 160 kmph will be 140 seconds as compared to 145 seconds earlier.

The train has improved ventilation for the traction motor for better reliability. There will also be two signal exchange lights on the coaches for exchange of signals with the way stations.
