India beat Bangladesh in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead

Wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav took a career-best 8-113 as India beat Bangladesh by 188 runs in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Kuldeep took 5-40 in the first innings followed by 3-73 as Bangladesh were bowled out for 324 in their second innings chase of 513 on Sunday.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan hit six fours and six sixes in his 108-ball 84 but the hosts lost their last four wickets to progress to 272-6 in less than an hour of the fifth day. Lost it.
