Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was today admitted to a private ward of Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after she complained of stomach infection.
The 63-year-old, who was admitted around noon, was also running fever. His condition is said to be stable. Several tests of the minister have been done, however, the reports are awaited.
Ms Sitharaman had attended the 35th annual convocation ceremony of the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in Chennai on Saturday. Ms Sitharaman paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary at 'Sadaiv Atal' in New Delhi yesterday.
