Showing his support for the Congress party's Bharat Jodo Yatra, former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan briefly joined the padyatra on Wednesday. In the video going viral on social media, Rajan is walking with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

The yatra resumed from Bhadoti in Rajasthan this morning. Rajasthan is the only Congress-ruled state that has entered the yatra and will cover a distance of around 500 kms in 17 days before entering Haryana on December 21.

Meanwhile, the Congress leadership in Haryana is gearing up for a yatra that will enter the state soon.

The first phase of Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi in Haryana will continue till December 23. In the second phase, the yatra will enter Haryana from Uttar Pradesh at Sanauli Khurd in Panipat district on January 6.

Senior Haryana Congress leader Ashok Arora said that the responsibility of all the committees and the route of the yatra was decided in the meeting held on Tuesday. Arora, who is a member of one of the committees and attended the meeting with senior leaders in Delhi, said the Haryana leg of the yatra would be organized in two phases.

The yatra will enter Haryana on the morning of December 21 from Firozpur Jhirka in Nuh district and will have a night halt at Bhadas village, he said, adding, "The next morning, it will move towards Ghasera and halt at Sohna in Gurugram on the night of December 22." District. On December 23, it will move towards Faridabad district.

Arora said that after re-entering Haryana in the second phase, a big rally would be organized in Panipat on January 7. After this the yatra will enter Punjab via Karnal, Kurukshetra and Ambala.

The yatra began on September 7 from Kanyakumari and has covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh so far. It will end in Jammu and Kashmir in early February 2023. Meanwhile, this Friday the Yatra will complete its 100th day.
