Adani Cement unveils GeoClean to conserve natural resources

 



GeoClean, formerly known as GeoCycle, will provide sustainable and innovative waste management solutions to the agricultural, industrial and public sectors.


New Delhi: Adani Cement on Tuesday unveiled GeoClean, its waste management arm, with a renewed emphasis on creating a circular economy and conserving natural resources.


GeoClean, formerly known as GeoCycle, will offer sustainable and innovative waste management solutions to the agricultural, industrial and public/municipal sectors.


Through co-processing of waste 'GeoClean' contributes to a cleaner environment and conservation of natural resources, replacing conventional fuels with alternative fuels and raw materials.


"GeoClean is built on the foundation of sustainability and business value enhancement through circular economy. It provides sustainable and innovative waste management solutions to the agricultural, industrial and public/municipal sectors. Co-processing of waste from these sectors Through, it ensures energy recovery and recycling of materials from waste, leaving zero residue," said a company release.

Geoclean aims to increase the thermal substitution rate for ACC and Ambuja Cements to 30% by 2027 through co-processed 3.7 million tonnes of alternative fuels from 6% last year.


“GeoClean is an industry leader in effectively utilizing waste in kiln co-processing and has developed 14 co-processing facilities across India around AFR storage areas, food systems and laboratories supporting Adani Cement.”


Geoclean has built 14 co-processing facilities in India around Adani Cement's AFR storage areas, feeding systems and laboratories. It also intends to divert 2,400 tonnes of plastic waste per year from the Mantola Canal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, using its new bubble barrier technology.


“GeoClean aims to divert 2,400 tonnes of plastic waste every year through its innovative bubble barrier technology at Mantola canal in Agra. Similar technology has been deployed at BBMB lake in Sundernagar area of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh to remove plastic waste from the water body. The plastic collected from these water bodies is sent to recycling centers for further processing. In line with Adani Cement's vision and mission, GeoClean provides innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow."
