Elon Musk took control of Twitter in October this year.

Billionaire Elon Musk revealed on Saturday that The Simpsons predicted his Twitter acquisition in 2015. He shared a picture from the 2015 animated sitcom episode that alluded to his Twitter purchase.

"Simpson predicts I buy Twitter S26E12," Musk tweeted.

According to the New York Post, the opening scene of the episode "The Musk Who Fell to Earth" shows Lisa Simpson tending to a birdhouse with a "Home Tweet Home" sign.

She is feeding when a bald eagle catches and kills some baby birds. Musk enters the scene in his rocket ship as the eagle soars in the distance. Eagle, a cherished American symbol, has been destroyed by aircraft fire," read the post, as quoted by news agency ANI.

Before instructing Bart to grab his baseball bat, Homer Simpson says, "Brace yourselves, family. We're about to meet a creature far more intelligent than we are."

After this Musk takes off his space helmet and identifies himself as 'Hello, I am Elon Musk'.

A bat is thrown at his head by Homer. Lisa screams, "Dad, no! Elon Musk is quite possibly the greatest living inventor." The camera pans to a modern birdhouse with state-of-the-art technology, which has attracted many birds, reports ANI.

"I think humanity wants to transform one birdhouse at a time," Lisa says as Musk re-boards his ship.

Earlier in October this year, Elon Musk completed a $44 billion deal to acquire the microblogging site. He fired top executives including CEO Parag Agarwal and more than 50% of his staff. Several employees resigned on their own after Musk announced a 'hardcore' work culture in the organization.

After laying off around 3,700 employees, the microblogging company has reportedly reached out to some of these fired employees and asked them to return as they were removed by 'mistake'.
