Earlier in November, at the RSSB in Amritsar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the organisation's leader Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon and spent about an hour there. When Modi arrived, women followers were chopping vegetables and making chapatis in the common kitchen at the dera.

When the minister met Dhillon in Delhi in February, he praised the religious group for its charitable work.
