Domestic carrier Akasa Air announces its plans to launch Visakhapatnam-Bengaluru and Pune-Bengaluru services soon
Since its launch in August this year, domestic airline Akasa Air has announced plans to start service from Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam on 10 December. This will be the airline's tenth destination.

Pune and Bengaluru will be connected by the city-based airline with twice daily flights starting November 26 and a third frequency on the route starting December 10.
The airline said a third frequency would be added from December 17 as a result of increased demand. This will improve connectivity between Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
On the Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam route, Akasa Air will start operating two daily flights, with the first frequency starting from December 10 and the second frequency starting from December 12.
The company said that these new services will allow Aqasa to connect passengers from Bengaluru to eight different cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Kochi, Guwahati, Pune and Visakhapatnam.
Eight of the 10 locations are linked to Bengaluru, the statement continued.
According to Aqasa, it is continuously expanding its operations and expects to operate more than 450 flights per week on a total of 14 routes between 10 cities by mid-December.
Praveen Iyer, co-founder and chief commercial officer, Akasa Air. said, “We are adding Visakhapatnam as the fourth major destination in South India to our expanding network, which includes the twice-daily Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam-Bengaluru. And also adding one frequency each. Debut Bengaluru-Pune route."
