According to the CEO of Zerodha, one of the hardest things he has done in his life is to build an audience without getting influenced by the social media platform.

Zerodha founder and CEO Nitin Kamath has shared his thoughts on the social media platform and called them an 'addictive dopamine hit'. He added that platforms can attract more likes and shares over time.

According to the CEO of Zerodha, one of the hardest things he has done in his life is to build an audience without getting influenced by the social media platform.

“Trying to build an audience not to be consumed by social media has been one of the hardest things in my life. The dopamine that comes from likes and shares is extremely addictive. Social media platforms have done an amazing job of engineering to make us feel this way," the 43-year-old wrote on Twitter.

In another tweet, Kamat said that he keeps reminding himself that the quality of content is directly related to the audience, if one goes down the other follows.

His Twitter post is a nod to his 'extremely smart friend' who misses the social media game.

“I keep reminding myself that if the quality of content goes down, so does the audience. To control the need to say something even when it is not there. Sharing this as a note to myself and also to a very smart friend who is missing the point," Nitin Kamath further tweeted.

Not consuming social media while trying to build an audience has been one of the hardest things in my life.

"At the end of the day, it boils down to the old saying...somebody can fool; some people all the time.. all the people sometimes.. but not all the people all the time!" Another user wrote.

"They haven't engineered anything. Just validation riding the human psyche of dopamine generation," tweeted another user.
