The ruling BJP in Karnataka said 12,000 new jobs will come up in Karnataka's Mysore as the city will get an investment of ₹1,400 crore. The Basavaraj Bommai-led government said several companies are interested in investing in and around Mysore.
BJP in Karnataka wrote in a tweet, "@BSBommai government gives Diwali gift to the people of Mysore. Under the #BeyondBengaluru initiative, Rs 1,400 crore will be invested in and around Mysore and companies have come forward to invest in it. Because, 12,000 jobs will be created and the pace of development of Mysore will increase further."

Beyond Bengaluru is an initiative launched by the CM Bommai government, focusing on the development project in other parts of Karnataka and not just limiting it to the state capital.
On Monday, the Chief Minister of Karnataka approved projects worth over Rs 1.174 lakh crore in the state. The new projects are expected to create over 40,000 jobs in the state.
