Government bus driver arrested for crushing woman in Bengaluru

 

A government bus driver was arrested for ramming a woman after she fell from a vehicle in Bangalore's Rajajinagar on Monday. The woman driving the vehicle narrowly escaped with minor injuries and the passenger sitting behind died in the hospital.

By Sage Raj: A woman died in a road accident in Bengaluru after she was run over by a bus. While the woman driving the vehicle sustained minor injuries, the passenger sitting behind was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The police have arrested the bus driver.

Both the women were traveling on a scooter in Rajajinagar, Bangalore when they collided with a pothole and fell on the road. When he fell, a government bus ran over him. The person driving the vehicle narrowly escaped with minor injuries.

Umadevi, who was seated behind, who sustained serious injuries, was shifted to ESI Hospital in Rajajinagar. He did not respond to treatment and died yesterday at 6 pm.

A case has been registered against Maruti Rao, the bus driver of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). He was arrested by the Malleswaram traffic police.
