Ukraine War, Russia-Ukraine News Live Updates, October 10, 2022: Russia on Monday launched a deadly string of attacks against several Ukrainian cities, killing at least 10 civilians and injuring 60. India said it was deeply concerned at the escalation of conflict in Ukraine and called for an immediate end to hostilities and an immediate return to the path of "diplomacy and dialogue".



Russia-Ukraine War News, Live: Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Ukraine had committed "terrorist acts" against Russia and would react forcefully if they continued. In televised remarks, Putin said Moscow launched long-range missile strikes against Ukraine's energy, military and communications infrastructure on Monday in response to an attack on a key bridge connecting Russia to the Crimean peninsula over the weekend. "It is clear that Ukraine's secret services ordered, organized and carried out a terrorist attack aimed at destroying Russia's critical civilian infrastructure."


Russia launched deadly attacks on several cities in Ukraine on Monday, destroying civilian targets, including the city of Kyiv, where at least 10 people were killed, reports AP. The intense, hours-long attack marked a sudden military escalation by Moscow.


India on Monday said it is deeply concerned about the escalation of conflict in Ukraine and called for an immediate end to hostilities and an immediate return to the path of "diplomacy and dialogue". Reiterating India's position on the conflict, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said escalation of hostilities is in no one's interest and added that India stands ready to support all such efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation. "India is deeply concerned by the escalation of conflict in Ukraine, including targeting of infrastructure and civilian casualties," he said.
