With effect from July 10, 2024, Bandhan Bank has announced the appointment of Ratan Kumar Kesh as the MD & CEO in an interim capacity. The present MD and CEO, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, is retiring on July 9, 2024, and this decision follows his departure.
The bank's official announcement states that the Board of Directors accepted Ratan Kumar Kesh's nomination during their meeting on July 6, 2024. In accordance with the Nomination and Remuneration Committee's recommendation, the Reserve Bank of India has also endorsed this appointment.
Subject to the agreement of the bank's shareholders, Kesh, who now holds the positions of Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Bandhan Bank, will take on the responsibilities of Interim MD & CEO for a first term of three months or until a new MD & CEO is selected.
