Agreeing to hasten the India-UK free trade pact is Modi and Starmer

According to a statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and recently elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer agreed to work toward the early completion of a free trade deal that would benefit both countries.


Mr. Modi congratulated him on taking over and the amazing electoral win of his Labour Party.


According to the statement, the leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening and advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the United Kingdom and remembered the historical ties between the two nations.


Recognizing the beneficial contributions made by the Indian community to the social, political, and economic advancement of the United Kingdom, they decided to keep fostering the strong interpersonal relationships.


According to the statement, Mr. Modi also invited Mr. Starmer to visit India before long, and both leaders decided to stay in contact.


Mr. Modi expressed his congratulations to Mr. Starmer on his election as the UK's prime minister in a post on X. For the advancement and prosperity of our peoples as well as the greater benefit of the world, the post said, "We remain committed to deepening Comprehensive a Strategic Partnership as well as robust India-UK economic ties."
