Ten months after star Priyanka Chopra Jonas removed her affiliation as a co-founder from the restaurant, Sona, is shutting its doors in New York.
Sona's last service will be brunch on Sunday, the business announced on its official Instagram page on Wednesday.
While Covid-19 limitations persisted, Chopra Jonas worked with her friend and previous business partner Maneesh K Goyal to launch the joint in 2021.
"Sona will be shutting after more than three incredible years. We are really appreciative to everyone that visited our doors. Serving you has been our greatest honor.
"We are grateful for our hardworking staff, who provide wonderful meals, warmth, and smiles every day. On Sunday, June 30, there will be a brunch service in honor of Sona. We want to have one last lunch or beverage with you. Our arms and doors are open," Sona said in her message.
In August of last year, Chopra Jonas, who is presently filming "The Bluff" in Australia, left the Indian eatery Sona.
The singer Nick Jonas, who is married to the actress, made the proposal for the name Sona, which translates to "gold" in Hindi.
