Modi government gave the education system over to the "mafia": Priyanka Gandhi

Her response followed the formation of a commission by the Union education ministry to examine the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the exams, and suggest changes to the exams.

Priyanka Gandhi said that the state of affairs has gotten to the point where the BJP administration is unable to fairly administer even one examination.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a congresswoman, criticized the Narendra Modi administration on Sunday over purported anomalies in national competitive tests, such as the NEET-UG, claiming that the government has given the "mafia" and the "corrupt" control over the whole educational system.

Her response followed the formation of a commission by the Union education ministry to examine the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the exams, and suggest changes to the exams.

Additionally, the Center fired Subodh Singh, the agency's director general, on Saturday and gave the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) full authority to handle the investigation into the anomalies in the NEET-UG medical entrance test.

Priyanka Gandhi claimed that the NEET-PG, UGC-NET, and CSIR-NET examinations were "cancelled" and that the NEET-UG question paper had been "leaked" in a post on X.

"Some of the largest exams in the nation right now are in this state. The whole educational system has been given over to the mafia and the corrupt under the BJP's administration, the Congress MP said in her Hindi tweet.

"The political stubbornness and arrogance of providing over the country's education and the future of children to greedy while sycophantic incompetent people has made paper leaks, cancellation of exams, elimination of education from campuses and political hooliganism the identity of our education system," she stated.

Priyanka Gandhi said that the state of affairs has gotten to the point where the BJP administration is unable to fairly administer even one examination.

"The BJP administration is now the largest obstacle to the future of the younger generation. While the defenseless Modi ji is only a spectator, the competent young of the nation are squandering their limited time and energy trying to expose the BJP's corruption, she remarked.

The June 23 date of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-PG, which is required for admission to postgraduate medical courses, was rescheduled as a "precautionary measure" due to recent claims regarding the validity of certain competitive exams, such as the NEET-Undergraduate (UG).

The Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research as well as University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET) was scheduled to take place in June, but the NTA informed on Friday that it will be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical challenges.

It happened two days after the organization called off the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) after just 24 hours of administration, citing concerns over the exam's integrity. The NEET controversy was sparked by many reported anomalies, and the Supreme Court is now considering the matter.
